I began my career at Atari’s international studio in England in 1982, working in game development and marketing. In the mid-80's, I established Activision's European Software Development operation, creating local content and more than two hundred products for the international market -- including movie licenses such as “Aliens” and coin-op conversions such as “Enduro Racer” – both highly rated number 1 hits enabling a return to profitability for the company. As General Manager at Argonaut software in the early 90's, I oversaw the creation of "Birds of Prey" for Electronic Arts and "Starfox" for Nintendo, which sold more than 4 million units. I founded my own games consultancy business, PMC, which became a software development studio Crush!, an innovator in online PC sports games. In 1999 I relocated to the United States, and in 2002 I joined Midway in Chicago, as Vice President of Product Development and managed the Midway Sports business unit. This included the launch of "NBA Ballers" and the franchises of "NFL Blitz,” “NHL Hitz," and “MLB Slugfest." I moved to Electronic Arts at the end of 2004, joining the EA SPORTS Tiburon studio in Florida as Executive Producer. I was responsible for a variety of licensed projects, including the multi-million selling “NASCAR” and “Tiger Woods PGA Tour” franchises, as well as skus of “Madden NFL”, “NFL Street3”, and “Arena Football”. In 2008 I moved to EA's new Salt Lake, Utah studio, to create products as part of their strategic Hasbro relationship. This resulted in EA's best selling NDS and Wii games of 2008, including "NERF N-Strike". In addition to running the UT studio, my responsibilities in the Hasbro business unit were expanded to include all of the EA console and handheld titles in development including at our Redwood Shores, CA location. I live with my family in Sandy, Utah, and have enjoyed extensive travel opportunities with my work. I attained A-level qualifications in computer science and English at Langley College, England. My skills include:
Franchise/portfolio management and strategy • New IP creation and
brand/license innovation |
